A commercial lease is a rental contract for commercial, industrial or craft premises, where the tenant must be a company.

It is used to operate a business or craft. The commercial lease is concluded for a period of 9 years, but can be terminated by the tenant every 3 years, hence its name “3-6-9 lease”. However, if the owner terminates the commercial lease before the end of the 9-year period, he must pay the tenant an eviction indemnity.
